Spawn Distance: Mobs spawn at 72 blocks away from the player
Despawn Distance: Mobs despawn at 36 blocks away from the player
Raid farm mechanics have been reverted to their pre-1.21 behavior. Classic raid farms work as expected with a 2 second cooldown between raids. Build your raid farms just like you would in older versions.
Optimized Villagers: Max 24 per chunk
Unoptimized Villagers: Max 14 per chunk
Extra villagers beyond these limits are automatically deleted with no warning. Lost villagers, trades, and levels cannot be recovered.
Use /nametag to get special nametags:
Optimize — Makes the villager stationary, restocks trades automatically, no job station required
Unoptimize — Removes the optimized state
Nametags are reusable and not consumed on use. Right-click any villager while holding the tag to apply.
• Press F3 + G to see chunk borders (each chunk is 16x16 blocks)
• Build trading halls across 2-3 chunks minimum
• Keep 8-10 villagers per chunk and leave room for breeding
• Use Optimize nametags on valuable villagers (Mending, good enchants)
• Place villagers near chunk centers, not on edges
• Count your villagers before breeding — better safe than sorry
